-Starting positions are set by even qualifying positions for the Daytona 500 (single car qualifying). So, the outside pole starting position will start this race, fourth qualifying position will start in second position (outside pole), sixth qualifying position will start third, and so on.

-Race determines even starting positions for Daytona 500, with the exception of the outside pole (second starting position), which is set during single car qualifying. The winner of this race (or runner up if the winner is the original pole sitter) will start forth in the 500, second will start sixth in the 500, and so on.
